Living a Different Life!

I've been inspired by 1 Peter 2:12 for the past few days,
"Be careful to live properly among your unbelieving neighbors. Then even if they accuse you of doing wrong, they will see your honorable behavior, and they will give honor to God when he judges the world."

Ghandi once said, "“I like your Christ, I do not like your Christians. Your Christians are so unlike your Christ.”

This is an eye opening statement. Are we living up to what the world thinks of us? Often times, we are called hypocrites because we are living and doing the same things the world does ... there are days when we are rude to people, get road rage (in a car that has a "honk if you love Jesus" bumper sticker) and tend to wear our witness tshirts but forget to love like Jesus Christ commanded. We may be the only Bible some people read. What do we want them to see? How should we act? Although our sinful nature makes it difficult and impossible to live like that of our amazing Savior, we can take steps to strive for a loving, Christ-centered heart and actions that speak louder than words.

As Christians, it's our responsbility to try our absolute best to live like Christ and act like Christ; forgetting and letting go of the sinful ways and desires of the world. We want someone to ask us what's different ... we want people to question (in a good way). If we carry the title "Christian,"  there must be actions and fruits of the spirit that accompany it. What will they be? How can we live differently? How can we leave a lasting, Christ-centered impact OPPOSITE of how Ghandi viewed Christians?

"Be the change you want to see in the world."

Listen to this song by Natalie Grant, such an inspiration to make a difference in Jesus' name:
